Following confirmation that Dawna Stone is leaving Running USA as CEO, to take up the CEO role at Abbott World Marathon Majors, the industry organisation has confirmed new leadership support.
In a statement, Matt West, President of the Running USA Board of Directors confirmed that existing board member Jeff Matlow would be providing interim leadership support to Running USA going forwards…
‘The Running USA Board and staff wish Dawna Stone the best in her newly announced position as CEO of Abbott World Marathon Majors. We have appreciated her contributions to Running USA over the last 18 months.
‘Plans are already in place to provide continuous service and progress to the Running USA membership base during the next few months. Running USA board member Jeff Matlow, a leadership consultant and endurance industry expert, will be stepping in to provide interim leadership support to the organization effective immediately.
‘He will be working closely with Running USA COO Christine Bowen, in addition to the Running USA staff of Leah Etling and Nicole Sparrow, to drive forward the strategy and key initiatives of the organization.
