Ahead of more than 15,000 runners hitting the pavement at the Long Beach Marathon and Half Marathon in October, Long Beach Airport has confirmed a renewed partnership with the 2022 event.
The marathon and half marathon in Southern California will welcome runners from across the US to the oceanfront streets of downtown Long Beach for its 38th outing on the weekend of October 8-9, 2022.
“The Long Beach Marathon is an event with a rich history in our community,” said Long Beach Airport Director, Cynthia Guidry. “We know participants recognize how important an easy travel experience is to a great race weekend, and we are honoured to continue this official partnership that brings participants and the community together.”
Founded in 1923, Long Beach Airport is the oldest airport in California. It offers non-stop service to 16 US cities and was named a top 10 airport in the 2020 USA Today 10 Best Readers’ Choice travel award contest for Best Small Airport. LGB
