MAAP bolsters Alt_Road collection

MAAP has unwrapped the apparel tech behind Alt_Road for the third drop of its off-the-beaten-track endurance collection. The Australian cycling apparel firm is lifting the lid on its latest instalment with a spotlight on the adventure-focused engineering behind each garment.

The company adds… ‘With new products entering the range, as well as some expedition-tested stalwarts from drops 1 and 2 returning in fresh new colours, there is plenty to explore.’

The Alt_Road Lightweight Anorak is a new arrival, built with elemental protection at the forefront of the production process. Its triple-layered fabric construction claims to protect the wearer for longer than DWR-treated kit alone, while a unique pop-over hood and lack of central front zip seam give extra wet weather protection.

MAAP adds… ‘Lightweight and stashable, it is the perfect bit of kit to throw in a pocket or bag to ensure you are ready for the road ahead. Inspired more by hiking, outdoor and lifestyle styles than conventional bike clothing, the Alt_Road Lightweight Anorak is made with on and off-bike versatility in mind.’

The wet weather Anorak joins the established Alt_Road Thermal Vest and Jacket, two pieces engineered for colder moments on the bike. Polartec Alpha insulation provides warmth, positioning these items for the first frosty kilometres in the morning after a night under the stars.

Also returning is the merino Alt_Road Jersey, created with proprietary NATURALMATCH tech to deliver the comfort of wool on the parts that make contact with the rider’s skin, and durable performance properties of inter-spun man-made fibres on the outside.

Cargo Bibs, Tech Tees and Legionnaire’s Caps also make a return to the range, as well as a host of other Alt_Road accessories.
