British performance eyewear firm, SunGod, has launched the Tempests sunglasses. According to the company… ‘The strong, versatile design meets market-leading lenses to create the ultimate pair of performance lifestyle sunglasses, designed to let you seamlessly transition from rest to play.’
Inspired by SunGod’s Renegades product offering in its Lifestyle Series, but finished with Grip-Lock hydrophilic rubber arm and nose pads from the brand’s Pace Series, the Tempests seek to bridge the gap between the two.
The sunglasses have been designed to offer sports performance, while also looking at home on the beach or in the streets.
The Tempests will also include a Limited Edition design created in collaboration with McLaren Racing’s F1 driver and star of Netflix’s Drive to Survive, Daniel Ricciardo.
As with all SunGod products, the Tempests can be customised at no extra cost using the brand’s digital design tool. SunGod offers the Tempests with a range of lens options, including Polarised or non-Polarised, and the brand’s 8KO nylon lenses as well as industry-standard 4KO polycarbonate lenses.
The Tempests are available from sungod.co, from £65. Backed by a Lifetime Guarantee, the new sunglasses come complete with triple-layer scratch-resistant lens coatings as well as ‘Adventureproof frame material’.
Ali Watkiss, co-Founder and CEO of SunGod, said “The Tempests are the result of many months of development and testing, where we’ve listened to our community to create a product that is truly versatile; it’s built for both.
“By uniting the best of both our Pace and Lifestyle Series, we’re proud to offer our customers a product that combines high performance with a casual feel, that looks at home wherever you wear it – be that for rest, play or both.”
