As part of the Triathlon Fall Fest, elite triathletes Magnus Ditlev, Frederic Funk, Kyle Smith and Belinda Granger, among others, will feature on ROUVY to meet, train and race online with the international triathlete community.
Held from November 24-27, there will be a series of group rides, races and webinars. ROUVY and Challenge Family are inviting triathletes to train and experience virtual event locations such as Roth, Almere, Šamorín, and Wanaka ,alongside other virtual Challenge Family race destinations.
A release from Challenge Family and ROUVY added that… ‘The Triathlon Fall Fest (TFF) on ROUVY is a series of unique online events that gives both experienced athletes and newbies the opportunity to train, compete and learn with and from some of the best professional triathletes in the world.
‘There’ll be rides and races on Challenge Family courses, workshops with experts, prizes, and the chance to connect with some of the best professional triathletes in the world. TFF brings together pro athletes, education on nutrition, equipment, training and the best routes the Challenge Family has.’
For the virtual tri series, ROUVY and Challenge Family have gathered a line-up of pro athletes. These include: Magnus Ditlev, Frederic Funk, Fenella Langridge, Kyle Smith, Ondrej Kubo, Lucy Byram, Lucy Buckingham, Rach McBride, Tom Davis, and Pablo Dapena González.
They are joined by experts such as Petr Vabrousek, Belinda Granger, Jort Vlam, Simona Krivankova and commentator Tomas Budka.
Triathlon Fall Fest aims to connect the pros and wider triathlete community… ‘to learn from each other, have training fun, recon future race locations, and catch the pre-winter training vibe. To get ready for the main weekend events, athletes are welcome to join the challenge and the workout program. Finally, all participants have a good chance to win cool gear prizes. It comes with one tagline ‘A virtual triathlon experience like no other’.’
The virtual series also aims to support the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF). Since 1997, CAF has changed the lives of thousands of young people, removing the barriers between their disabilities and being able to participate in sport. These include those who have had physical challenges since birth as well as those who had life changing accidents, allowing them to achieve their sporting dreams.
Athletes participating in Triathlon Fest are encouraged to take the opportunity to make a donation directly to Challenged Athletes Foundation to support its work.
