The USA Triathlon Foundation is now accepting applications for the fifth annual USA Triathlon Foundation Ambassador Team powered by Newton Running.
A nationwide community of multisport athletes, the Ambassador Team is a group of dedicated individuals who are committed to both fundraising and advocacy for the USA Triathlon Foundation, the sport and multisport communities. The application window is open now and runs through November 30th.
‘Made up of multisport athletes who have a passion for giving back to their communities, the USA Triathlon Foundation Ambassador Team embodies the goals of the USA Triathlon Foundation: to support and promote the virtues of triathlon, and to open pathways for all to swim, bike, and run.’
“Our ambassadors are vital to furthering the foundation’s mission and driving our fundraising efforts,” said Lindsay Welker, Foundation Development and Program Coordinator for the USA Triathlon Foundation.
“By creating and cultivating a culture of philanthropy, the Ambassador Team is helping building altruistic communities all across the United States and look forward to seeing the impact they’ll have on the sport they love in 2023.”
Ambassadors are asked to raise a minimum of US$1,000 each for the USA Triathlon Foundation. That funding will go toward deserving individuals and organizations in the multisport community in support of the foundation’s three pillars.
Ambassadors will receive benefits at each fundraising level, including a USA Triathlon Foundation Ambassador hat and polo, a pair of Newton Running shoes, VIP access at USA Triathlon Nationals and USA Triathlon Multisport National Championships Festival and other exclusive items based on the level of fundraising.
All ambassadors are required to make a US$250 membership gift upon joining the team. With this gift, ambassadors receive a USA Triathlon Foundation Ambassador race kit, a USA Triathlon Foundation Ambassador t-shirt, a bag tag and an ambassador sticker, and fundraising material and collateral.
Ambassadors will have the opportunity to connect and form a community with fellow ambassadors via bi-monthly town halls, happy hours and coffee meetups at USA Triathlon Multisport National Championships Festival, Legacy Triathlon and USA Triathlon Nationals.
Ambassadors will kick off the year on January 23-26 in Austin, Texas, with a happy hour at Endurance Exchange Presented by BOA, USA Triathlon’s in-person endurance sports industry conference.
Throughout the season, ambassadors will also share the mission and vision of the foundation through personal stories on their social media channels and in their local communities.
