Helmet specialist ABUS is expanding its presence in triathlon having signed German elite triathlete Frederic Funk to its ambassador roster.
In a release, the company noted… ‘ABUS is, beyond its cycling commitments, for years also a constant in the triathlon business. With Frederic Funk, ABUS is now bringing one of the world’s fastest 70.3 triathletes into the ABUS family.
‘The 26-year-old Munich native has been consistently represented among the world’s best in recent years and impresses, among other things, with his dominance on the bike, where he usually lays the foundation for his victories.’
In addition to the Gamechanger TT helmet, Funk will also be relying on the new GameChanger 2.0 aero road cycling helmet. Launched this summer, ABUS claims that a combination of aerodynamics, ventilation, comfort and safety make the new GameChanger 2.0 a real aero helmet alternative for triathletes.
