HYROX has unveiled a new race structure and qualification process for its Elite 15 Series in the 2023/24 season.
The Elite 15 series serves as the professional racing division within the sport of HYROX, and the revamped structure aims to provide more opportunities for athletes to compete and achieve the sport’s highest honours.
The season will consist of four Regional Major Races (HYROX, European, Scandinavian, and US), two Last Chance Qualifiers, and the HYROX World Championship.
Qualification for the Majors and World Championship will be earned through time placings in the previous season and recorded qualifying times from Jan 1st, 2023, onwards. The Majors will offer Male and Female Elite 15 Events, with the top three athletes from each Major qualifying for the World Championship.Last Chance Qualifiers will fill any remaining World Championship spots.
The changes aim to increase engagement, offer larger prize purses, and provide more exposure through live streaming at each Major race. The new structure ensures that all athletes at the World Championship have earned their spot through in-person competition with their peers.
