Epic Rides has announced Flagstaff, Arizona-based craft brewer Mother Road Brewing as official beer sponsor of the Whiskey Off-Road mountain bike event in Prescott, Arizona on April 28-30.
As the Official Beer of the Whiskey Off-Road for the next three years, Mother Road will feature one of its vintage vehicles the public can interact with, along with Arizona State Parks rangers in attendance, giving talks on ecology and public lands.
To improve upon the delivery challenges of pint glasses last year, every 2023 Whiskey Off-Road finisher will receive a stainless steel pint cup upon crossing the finish line, with one Mother Road Brewing beer fill-up to those of legal age.
“All of us here at Mother Road Brewing Company are so excited to announce our position as the Whiskey Off Road’s premiere craft beer sponsor in 2023,” said Mother Road’s Stephanie Henderson, Director of Arizona Craft Beer.
“With Northern Arizona as our backyard, we are honoured to sponsor events in our community and continue our mission of building community one pint at a time. In partnership with Epic Rides and the Prescott Unified School District Education Foundation, we look forward to showcasing our shared love of the outdoors, adventure, community, and craft beer with the attendees of The Whiskey Off-Road”
Inspired by ‘the mother road’ – Route 66 running through the heart of Flagstaff – Mother Road Brewing is the third largest independent craft brewery in Arizona. Known for its popular Tower Station IPA, the brand also has a reputation for fostering community, sustainability and hospitality.
Each year, Mother Road provides two million pounds of spent grain to local cattle ranchers to reuse as feed. The brewery’s CO2 recapture system filters and reinjects the gas into its beers, recently earning Mother Road Brewing the Green Business Award from the Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce and the 2020 Sustainable Tourism Award.
Mother Road Brewing also donates a portion of all proceeds from its Conserve and Protect Golden Ale to Arizona Game and Fish Department to protect 800 wildlife species in Arizona.
