Billed as On’s latest and fastest elite marathon shoe, the Cloudboom Echo 3 will be in stock from July 6. According to the Swiss firm… ‘these hotly anticipated racing shoes are designed to smash PBs and bring even more runners to victory at the finish line.’
The Cloudboom Echo 3 features On’s signature CloudTec, a carbon Speedboard, and new Helion HF hyperfoam that claims to fuse impact protection with supreme energy return. Originally derived from castor beans, the new fully recyclable Helion HF hyperfoam is made out of 46% bio-based materials.
Sandwiched between the midsole layers, a spoon like shaped full Carbon Speedboard acts to propel the runner forward. The high-tech upper of the shoe is composed of a single cohesive woven structure, offering deliberate zones for high breathability.
Coinciding with the latest drop of the Cloudboom Echo 3, On is also restocking its first-ever spike shoes. The Cloudspike 1500m and 10000m are both engineered in close collaboration with On’s OAC athletes.
The Cloudspike 10000m is On’s long distance race spike. Here, On’s signature CloudTec and Helion HF hyperfoam, is coupled with a full length, spoon-shaped Speedboard made out of fibreglass to sustain peak performance at high paces.
Looking at the design and function of the underfoot, six removable spikes and surface-gripping heel pad provide traction. Each spike is engraved with ‘Designed and developed in Zurich. Tested in Boulder and St. Moritz’, boasting the extensive testing process with On athletes.
The mid-distance race Cloudspike 1500m is engineered to be a lightweight construction of below 140g, with On’s signature CloudTec and Helion HF hyperfoam teamed with a carbon Speedboard. Underfoot, five removable spikes on a horseshoe plate help runners to grip the track.
