Newly launched fitness platform Muuvr has confirmed the addition of Jan van Berkel to its commercial team.
Former pro triathlete, and 4x winner of IRONMAN Switzerland, Jan van Berkel joins Muuvr as European Business Development Manager, working across both business development and partnerships.
Launched to the public in early October, Muuvr notes that it…. ‘is already making waves amongst brands and mass participation event organisers looking for new ways to engage directly with athletes, worldwide. van Berkel’s appointment will build on this momentum in Europe, supported by his extensive list of contacts from more than a decade as a professional triathlete.’
Alongside developing Muuvr’s general brand partnerships across Europe, Jan van Berkel will look to bolster the growing choice of sports goods and services that athletes will be able to redeem within the ‘Muuvr Marketplace’.
Muuvr is designed to benefit athletes for being more active. Available for free on iOS and Android, the Muuvr app analyses users’ fitness activities via connections to their favourite fitness tracking platforms, rewarding them with ‘Muuvs’.
Muuvs can be redeemed in the Muuvr Marketplace for sporting goods and services from a range of reward partners. At the time of launch, the partners included mass participation event organisers Limelight Sports and Challenge Family, plus sports apparel brand HUUB.
