Enea has once again become the title sponsor of IRONMAN 70.3 events in Gdynia and Poznań in Poland. 2024 marks the tenth year of cooperation between IRONMAN and the Polish energy provider.
Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia will take place on August 2-4, and the Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań event is scheduled for the weekend of August 30 to September 1. Now supporting triathlon in Poland for a decade, as title sponsor, Enea will, as in previous years, prepare a number of activations for athletes, fans and local residents of Gdynia and Poznań.
2024 also marks 40 years since the first triathlon got under way in Poland. To celebrate this milestone the Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań event team is planning a number of attractions for the triathlon community – utilising archive materials and statements from some of the sport’s pioneers.
“Our commitment to triathlon is long-term, best evidenced by ten years of cooperation with the organizers of the IRONMAN competition in Poland,” said Grzegorz Kinelski, President of Enea.
“Since last year, we have also been the general sponsor of the Polish Triathlon Association. I invite competitors and fans to visit the Enea Zone on the city beach in Gdynia and at the Poznań International Fair during the IRONMAN competition. We are preparing many free attractions, as well as the opportunity to meet sports stars and Olympians.”
Michał Drelich, Director of IRONMAN Poland, said “Triathlon as a discipline has become extremely popular in our country over the past decade. The IRONMAN competition certainly contributed to this, but also the involvement of Enea.
“Together with our partner, we have been consistently implementing ambitious activities, which are not limited only to the organization of competitions. Over the course of throughout the year, we conduct a number of communication and advertising activities that promote physical activity, a healthy lifestyle, but also road safety and a civil society.”
In 2024, three events under the IRONMAN banner will be held in Poland:
- Citi Handlowy IRONMAN 70.3 Warsaw – June 7-9, 2024;
- Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia – August 2-4, 2024; and
- Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań – August 30 to September 1, 2024.
In the Czech Republic, IRONMAN 70.3 Hradec Králové will be held on August 16-18, 2024.
