Apparel and fabric specialists, Albion and Pertex, have announced they will co-sponsor the ultra-cycling Mountain Races events for 2025 and beyond.
The three Mountain Races – Atlas Mountain Race, Hellenic Mountain Race and Silk Road Mountain Race – have established themselves as some of the most prestigious races on the ultra distance calendar. The events feature a combination of challenging terrain, remote locations, competitive racing and a community that races year on year.
The Mountain Races are the creation of Nelson Trees, and started with the launch of the Silk Road Mountain Race in Kyrgyzstan in 2018. The first edition of the Atlas Mountain Race in Morocco took place in 2020, and the third race in the series, the Hellenic Mountain Race in Greece, started in 2023.
The decision by Albion and Pertex to co-sponsor the series extends the brands’ established partnership. Working primarily on products, the two brands started working together in 2021 on the Albion Zoa range but they have collaborated on events, races and storytelling over the past few years.

Entries for 2025 open soon, with the registration for Atlas Mountain Race opening on the 18th of October 18, 2024. Registration for Hellenic Mountain Race and Silk Road Mountain Race will open up in November and December.
