BMC has unveiled the latest edition of its Masterpiece (Mpc.) program, the Teammachine R Mpc.
According to BMC…. ‘Becoming a Masterpiece elevates the Teammachine R to even greater heights. The Teammachine R Mpc’s craftmanship delivers a leading-edge platform for cyclists who demand more than just the ultimate in performance.’
The Masterpiece program came about after BMC’s engineers decided they wanted to showcase what could be achieved when no expense was spared. The company adds that it’s the result of removing all compromises in material, engineering processes and manufacturing.

The original Teammachine R was developed with a goal to achieve aerodynamics without sacrificing performance. From the innovative and instantly recognisable, Halo Fork to the Mariana Bottom Bracket, each component is designed to minimize drag and maximize efficiency.
BMC adds that the bike’s these technologies and characteristics have been elevated on the Masterpiece edition.
“As an engineer 100% accuracy is critical,” said Stefan Christ, Head of R&D at BMC. “The Mpc production method allows us to reach another level of precision when it comes to carbon fibre placement and alignment, you can actually see this when you look at an Mpc frame.
“Each carbon fibre strand aids in tailoring the structure and ride characteristics of the frame, so you get exactly the riding behaviour and performance we, the engineers, envisioned.”
The Teammachine R was born from BMC’s collaboration with Red Bull Advanced Technologies. It added Formula 1-level expertise to BMC’s engineering experience.

All Teammachine R and Teammachine SLR Mpc framesets are available in; 47, 51, 54, 56, 58 & 61cm frame sizes; available through BMC retailers from September 2024.
