City2Surf returned to the streets of Sydney, Australia, on Sunday, August 11, 2024, with tens of thousands of runners taking part in the mass participation event.
Organised by The IRONMAN Group, the 2024 City2Surf was a record-breaking event, with 90,000 registered runners.
Taking on a 14km course between the Sydney central business district (CBD) and Bondi Beach, the men’s elite race was won by Isaac Heyne (AUS) in a time of 40 mins 50 seconds. Leanne Pompeani (AUS) won the women’s elite race in a time of 45 mins 38 seconds.
This year’s event, by the numbers:

- 2.7 – Million AU dollars raised for charity ahead of this year’s event
