IRONMAN has confirmed its spring/summer 2025 IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 race calendar for Europe, with general registration now open for select events in April to July next year.
The 2025 race calendar currently includes the newly announced IRONMAN 70.3 Tours Métropole – Loire Valley, France, as well as the new IRONMAN Les Sables d’Olonne-Vendee (previously an IRONMAN 70.3 triathlon).
IRONMAN 70.3 Valencia will be back for its second edition – after being the fastest IRONMAN 70.3 event in Europe to sell out last year, and IRONMAN France Nice and ISUZU IRONMAN South Africa African Championship will both be celebrating their 20th anniversary.
Fan favourites such as Zafiro IRONMAN 70.3 Alcúdia-Mallorca, IRONMAN Hamburg European Championship and IRONMAN Kärnten-Klagenfurt Austria will also be returning in 2025.
Thomas Veje Olsen, Managing Director of The IRONMAN Group in Europe, Middle East and Africa said “In many ways 2024 has been a monumental year in Europe.
“We’re only halfway into the 2024 season and there are only two IRONMAN races and a handful of IRONMAN 70.3 races that still have space remaining in 2024; and the introduction of the IRONMAN Pro Series has added a new level of excitement throughout the season.
“With the majority of 2024 events already sold out, and after fantastic race experiences across the region this year so far, athletes are already planning their 2025 seasons, and we have so much in store for the coming year.
“For the first time our calendar extends to France’s Loire Valley for the new IRONMAN 70.3 Tours Metropole – Loire Valley, while one of the most loved triathlon destinations in France, Les Sables d’Olonne, hosts a full IRONMAN for the first time in 2025.”
He continued, “It was incredible to be part of the 25th year anniversary celebrations at IRONMAN Karnten-Klagenfurt, Austria, this year and we look forward to more of the same next year with IRONMAN France Nice and the ISUZU IRONMAN South Africa African Championship both celebrating 20 years in 2025.
“Most important for our team is that our athletes have incredible experiences. Our calendar aims to offer something for every level of athlete, courses that are fast and flat, those with elevation and weaving roads to keep things interesting and amazing destinations with everything from countryside to coast and sprawling city to quaint villages. This is only the beginning, and we look forward to announcing more race dates throughout the year.”
