Vessel Athletics is today debuting its functional performance wear, introducing runners to its fresh take on hydration gear. The company’s new Hydroshirt is a lightweight shirt that integrates a 1 litre water bladder… ‘designed to let runners carry water seamlessly while eliminating the inconvenience of weight and slosh.’
The Hydroshirt includes a 32 oz (1L) removable hydration bladder, a bite-valve straw for easy sipping, and sleeve pockets to carry essentials. Unique to the Hydroshirt are: a hidden magnet that secures the straw and an adjustable fastening system to stabilize the bladder and prevent sloshing.
Benefits of the hydration-apparel include:
- Reduced weight, up to 1.5x less than a run backpack or vest, the Hydroshirt helps to get rid of excess bulk for runners
- Hand-free hydration, removing the need for bottles, the bite-valve straw stays in place with a magnetic fastener
- A stable & fitted fastening system allows for adjustment to an individual runner’s fit and stabilises the water pack
- An insulated pouch keeps liquids cool
Vessel Athletics’ Kickstarter campaign goes live today and runs until June 6, 2024. Early supporters can be among the first to secure a Hydroshirt. Early bird pricing tiers start at US$89 before retailing for US$150. The Hydroshirt will be available for shipping to the US and most international countries. With production completed, backers can expect to receive their Hydroshirt as early as the end of June.
