The Accor Group hotel brands Ibis Styles and Ibis Budget have partnered with the Tour de France and the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift in a three-year partnership that will see the two brands become official hotels.
The Ibis family, an official supplier to the Tour de France from 2006 to 2017, returns to the Tour de France in 2024. By renewing its association with the Tour de France, Ibis Styles and Ibis Budget aim to be as close as possible to travelling fans.
Ibis Budget has 350 properties in France and in countries where the riders will pass through (such as Belgium and the Netherlands), while Ibis Styles has 250 hotels in France.
“The Accor teams and I are proud and enthusiastic about again becoming official suppliers to the Tour de France for the next three editions with our ibis Styles and ibis budget brands, ” said Patrick Mendes, Chief Executive Officer Europe & North Africa of Accor Group.
“We thought it was obvious to be associated with the Tour de France, an unmissable sporting event with an international reach and a magnificent showcase for France, our regions and culture. This will enable us to create exclusive activities for our customers and members, partners and staff.”
- Activities will take place in hotels on the key stages of the 2024 edition, and in all French hotels in 2025 and 2026.
- 58 properties have been selected across France, Belgium and the Netherlands. 12 hotels will be accommodating teams.
- Four vehicles will cover the stage routes, including two Ibis Styles and Ibis Budget vehicles.
In addition, Ibis Styles and Ibis Budget will be offering several invitations to win a unique access to the Tour de France by being immersed in the race caravan. Members of the Ibis loyalty programme will also be able to use their loyalty points to participate in exclusive experiences, notably through the Tour de France Club.
“We’re delighted to have Ibis Styles and Ibis Budget back with us on the Tour de France and the Tour de France Femmes with Zwift,” said Christian Prudhomme, Director of the Tour de France.
“These brands speak to the French, and it’s only natural that we should welcome them to such a popular event as the Tour de France. The accessible, high-quality accommodation offered by the hotels will enable spectators to experience the festivities of the two biggest races on the men’s and women’s calendar. Their presence in the caravan will contribute to the celebration of both events, highlighting the proximity and sharing that are so dear to our values.”
