Formerly the Holland Triathlon, and as the second oldest long distance triathlon in the world, Challenge Almere-Amsterdam is one of the key events in Challenge Family’s international series.
With a European long distance title at stake, dozens of professional athletes took off on Saturday, September 14, at Challenge Almere-Amsterdam.
With the elite race decided only in the final stages, Jesper Svensson (SWE) and Marlene de Boer (NED) earned the European Champion titles. Meanwhile, De Boer not only won Challenge Almere-Amsterdam, but also broke the national long distance and course records in Almere.
