Triathlon Ireland has announced the inaugural Cork City Triathlon. According to the national governing body, ‘The event marks a new era for pro, age group and youth series racing in ireland.’
Scheduled for July 13-14, 2024, featuring eight races, across two days in one location, athletes can race on closed roads and take in Cork’s Pairc Ui Caoimh and Marina Park area.
Age Group National Series & Youth Series events take place on the same course as Europe Triathlon Cup races. Day one features racing for leading elite triathletes from all over Europe & Ireland, while day two is for age groups to ‘race like a pro and follow in their footsteps.’
Spectators & supporters will be welcomed to a tented village for family friendly activities, food & entertainment – from yoga to warm ups and music. Triathlon Ireland added that course maps and an official Cork City Triathlon website coming soon.
