American Bicycle Group (ABG) has confirmed that its OBED brand has been extended with two new models in its endurance road category: the RVR and RVR SLi (Super Light [fully] Integrated).
Designed for both speed and endurance enthusiasts, the RVR’s geometry and tyre clearance make it suitable for long rides across diverse terrains. It boasts a frame that’s both stiff and agile. The RVR SLi model aims to take this to the next level with a ultra-light construction, and fully integrated routing system – positioned for climbers seeking a lightweight yet robust bike.
The RVR’s unique Modern Road Performance (MRP) Fork features optimized geometry, targeting a smooth, responsive ride. The increased axle-to-crown length accommodates wider tyres (up to 35mm) while maintaining a sleek profile… ‘allowing for elegant head tube proportions without compromising handlebar height.’

The RVR’s aero shaping at the downtube shrouds a water bottle, while also maintaining bottom bracket stiffness.
- RVR: billed as the Rouléur’s Choice is designed for riders who want to log long miles at high speeds in comfort. Stiffer than the RVR SLi, the RVR delivers the high performance ride.
- RVR SLi: positioned as a Lightweight Choice is for climbers focused on elevation gains and stiffness-to weight performance. It features an advanced lightweight carbon frame (880g) that presents a 13% weight savings when compared to the RVR.
Both models come with extensive customization options, including bar width, crank length, and stem size, along with a range of paint and graphic choices.
Available in six sizes (x-small, small, medium, medium/large, large, x-large), the RVR starts at US$3,099 and the RVR SLi at US$4,499. Purchase directly from obedbikes.com.
