Swiss sportswear brand On has announced the launch of the Prism Collection, which features the Cloudboom Strike, billed as ‘a new pinnacle of marathon excellence’. Also being launched are the track-focused Cloudspike Citius and track long-distance optimized Cloudspike Amplius.
With an RRP of £270, the Cloudboom Strike is a road racing shoe developed with the marathon distance in mind. It has a tailored one-piece semi-transparent mesh upper and a new bounceboard. On notes that this combines with CloudTec and Helium Hyperfoam to create a fast, responsive and energy efficient shoe.
According to On, the Cloudboom Strike is a race shoe engineered for marathon excellence. It features:
- Ultra-Responsive Drop-In Construction: with a new BounceBoard, a Helion hyper foam drop-in midsole, which maximises energy return and efficiency, without increasing stack height.
- Race-Day Optimized CloudTec: Strategically positioned to enhance transitions, reduce impact, and increase running efficiency through a decoupled effect system.
- Marathon Tailored Comfort: One-piece semi-transparent mesh upper, cage system for support, a moulded heel, and constructed tongue for targeted comfort.
