Launched in 2019 by retailer Sigma Sports, the Sigma Sports Cafe Ride video series combines a casual bike ride and a coffee with spontaneous conversations from guests. Hosted by Matt Stephens, the interview gives guests the opportunity to open up, discuss their careers and share their love of cycling.
In a new episode of the series, Irish comedian David O’Doherty admits that the ‘stupidity’ of his bicycle obsession is somewhat problematic. He struggles for storage space, but puts his collection of classic racing bikes to great use by regularly riding them to his favourite local park.
From rebuilding a 1987 Tour de France team bike as a lockdown project to fixing his neighbours’ old steeds and reminiscing the days of being a racer for the Orwell Wheelers, David O’Doherty reveals himself as a cycling aficionado.
Accumulating millions of views on YouTube, previous guests on the Sigma Sports Cafe Ride have included Tadej Pogacar, Tom Pidcock, Mark Cavendish, Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig and Sir Bradley Wiggins.
