Stan’s NoTubes has introduced renewed packaging on its tubeless sealant products with a refreshed look, now measured in metric volumes.
A release from Stan’s noted… ‘While headquartered and produced entirely in an American facility, why would Stan’s decide to make a shift to metric volumes instead of the imperial ounce, pint, and quart sizes we’ve used since day one? The answer is simple–since the humble origins of our founder Stan Koziatek tinkering in the garage, we’ve grown to become the global leader in tubeless sealant.
‘Around the globe and throughout the bicycle component world, the metric system is the standard format of measure. For users who still prefer to reference our product in imperial measures, a conversion of ounces can be found just below the metric quantity.’
Inside the revamped packaging, the original tubeless sealant formula remains unchanged since its introduction in 2000, initially bottled as Stan’s Tire and Rim Sealant. Since then, the company informally referred to this go-to formula as its Original formula when differentiating it from the Race formula introduced in 2016.
For easier reference, these bottles now bear the Original title in their product name. And, to better communicate the intention of the Race formula, Stan’s has updated its name to Race Day.
Introduced primarily to be packaged with boxed bikes of its original equipment partners and later its bagged tubeless kits, a new, petite 250ml bottle will fill up to two 29 x 2.5” tyres and as many as four 700 x 40mm tyres.
With the shift to a metric-first product universe, the brand has also replaced its large and medium-volume black containers with bottles that contain 30% post-consumer materials. These are filled with the same formulas produced in the company’s Big Flats, New York, facility powered by its own solar panel array.
To make recycling our plastic containers easier to use, Stan’s has updated its label to a BOPP film material that peels from both the black and low-volume white packages of Stan’s tubeless sealant products. This helps to ensure the plastic bottle material remains in the proper waste stream to be further recycled.
Distributors and dealers handling Stan’s sealant by the caseload will also find products packed in FSC-certified cardboard boxes.
Stan’s adds that, in 2024, it will unveil several new product releases to expand and improve our tubeless product catalog.
