More than 45 professional triathletes are set to race at Challenge Mogán Gran Canaria on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Now in its ninth edition, the event takes place in Anfi del Mar on the Spanish island and opens the European season for the international Challenge Family series.
This year’s race draws participants from over 20 nationalities across Europe, Africa and North America. The UK once again provides one of the largest contingents, with additional strong representation from Spain, Germany, France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Athletes from the United States and South Africa have also joined the start list.
The middle distance event (1.9km swim, 90km bike, 21km run) has attracted confirmed names including Jonathan Brownlee, Andi Dreitz, Corentin Chouvelon, Joao Pereira and Vanessa Pereira. British athlete Ben Akin, 2024 champion Marta Lagow, and South Africa’s Matt Kaminer are also set to race.
Short distance and relay formats are also included on the schedule.
The race is backed by local and regional authorities, including Mogán Town Hall, Turismo Gran Canaria and Turismo Islas Canarias, as well as the Canary Islands Triathlon Federation.
