US-based accessories and bike brand ENVE has signed a multi-year contract extension with UAE Team Emirates – XRG, continuing as the team’s official wheel and handlebar supplier.
The partnership began in 2023 following independent in-house testing by UAE Team Emirates, which evaluated a range of wheels in the wind tunnel and on the road. ENVE was reportedly selected based on performance metrics and rider feedback.
UAE Team Emirates has since risen to become the top-ranked team in men’s professional cycling, led by world number one Tadej Pogačar. The team has secured two overall Grand Tour titles, six Monument wins, and a World Championship using ENVE’s wheels and cockpit components.
“Our path to becoming the number one team in the world has been built on more than just having the best riders – it’s about assembling the right team, from staff to partners, and using the best equipment available,” said Mauro Gianetti, Team Principal and CEO of UAE Team Emirates – XRG.
“ENVE has proven to be a key partner for us, sharing our commitment to performance, innovation, and excellence.”
ENVE supplies the team with its full SES road wheel line, including the US-made SES 2.3, 3.4, 4.5, and 6.7 models. The SES 4.5 has become the team’s preferred all-around race wheel due to its aerodynamic efficiency and ride quality features.
Beyond race-day equipment, the collaboration has resulted in product development initiatives, beginning with the SES Aero Pro One-Piece Handlebar in 2023. Designed for World Tour-level racing, the bar offers aerodynamic optimisation and precise handling. Additional co-developed products are set to launch later in 2025.
“Securing the original contract with UAE Team Emirates – XRG was a proud moment for the company,” said Mike Stimola, CEO of ENVE.
“Extending that contract – especially when every other wheel and component brand is competing for the same opportunity – demonstrates the depth of our partnership and our ongoing commitment to innovation.”
UAE Team Emirates – XRG will begin its Tour de France title defence on July 5, with ENVE continuing to support the team with wheels and handlebars for both road and time trial stages.
