The Supertri E World Triathlon Championship powered by MyWhoosh took place on April 5, 2025 at the London Aquatics Centre, combining live racing and virtual technology as part of a high-profile international triathlon showcase.
The 2025 edition featured a full crowd, with organisers reporting that all spectator tickets were sold out. The event also included a ticketing initiative for under-14s and an observer programme run in collaboration with Loughborough University London. This provided a behind-the-scenes look at event operations for a group of postgraduate students.
Broadcast coverage included Eurosport and TNT Sports, with the organisers stating a TV reach of 2.4 million. Social media activity for race week (including the three days before and after the event) reportedly generated 334,685 engagements and close to 14 million video views.
The event marked the first year of Supertri’s new partnership with virtual cycling platform MyWhoosh (with the virtual-meets-real-world event format previously in partnership with Zwift).
Athletes raced on a hybrid course that combined physical racing with digital avatar motion on MyWhoosh-powered treadmills and static bikes.

The racing featured Olympic and World Championship-level athletes, with standout performances in both finals. In the men’s event, France’s Maxime Hueber-Moosbrugger edged out the USA’s Chase McQueen in a closely contested finish. Maciej Bruzdziak of Poland secured bronze.
In the women’s race, Olympic champion Cassandre Beaugrand took a commanding victory, leading from the start to claim the 2025 Supertri E world title ahead of a field that included defending champion Beth Potter.
The event organising team added that the Supertri E format will continue to evolve, with further activations planned across technology, education, and athlete development.
