Rapha‘s new Pro Team Lightweight GORE-TEX Jacket offers up a hard-wearing and packable waterproof protection, and is billed as the lightest jacket Rapha has ever created.
As with all new Rapha products, the jacket is PFAS-Free (made without added per- and / or poly-fluorinated substances).
Anne Weir, Materials Developer at Rapha, explained “In 2021, our materials team started exploring new technologies that could match our performance expectations without the use of PFAS chemicals that can harm the environment.
“After years of global wear testing and refinements, Rapha released our first PFAS-free GORE-TEX jacket last autumn. Now, we are proud to introduce this durably waterproof innovation to our Pro Team range. The result is the ultimate rain jacket for giving your best in the worst racing and training conditions.”
Pro Team is Rapha’s top-end range. EF Pro Cycling rider Kasper Asgreen features in Rapha’s launch campaign. The classics contender and former Flanders winner has his own individual approach to conditioning. Whilst others choose to live and train further south, Asgreen steels himself for battle in the arctic wind and rain of Scandinavia.
Talking about Rapha’s latest jacket, Asgreen said, “For me, living up north, the protection of a rain jacket is obviously hugely important over the winter months.
“There are a lot of rainy days here in Denmark; so it’s a staple of mine for sure. I wear it, or at least bring it with me, every day. It is very easy to pack down into a pocket and in even the worst weather, there has been no water seeping through at any point.”

- Made strong – The three-layer woven ripstop GORE-TEX Fabric is hard-wearing and breathable, with GORE taped seams for full weather protection.
- Packable – The lightest rain jacket Rapha says it has ever created, it compresses into a jersey pocket or saddle bag. Weighing less than the equivalent Pro Team GORE-TEX SHAKEDRY Jacket: 128g (Men’s M).
With an ergonomic fit designed for comfort in aero bike positions, the jacket also has a two-way zipper for on bike pocket access and airflow for cooling.
Following GORE-TEX wash and care instructions is recommended to maintain product performance and longevity.
