For decades, fizik has been known for its saddles and shoes. Now, the Italian brand is lifting the lid on its ‘next natural step’ with the introduction of four new cycling helmets.
The new range of helmets are for riders across the road, gravel, triathlon/TT, and trail categories. The Kudo and Kudo Aero are designed for road, gravel and XC; the Kassis is tailored for off-road trail riders; and the Kunée is optimized for time trial and triathlon.
Guided by computational fluid dynamics, fizik notes that its engineers… ‘designed, tested, and refined the helmets to streamline airflow and minimize wind resistance. As one of the key elements of the riders’ front profile, it was crucial that fizik left no curve, contour, or surface unconsidered.’
While performance is key, fizik adds that helmet comfort is equally important. Beyond offering a broad range of sizing from 52cm up to 61cm, fizik has engineered a micro-adjustable internal retention system. This allows riders to fine-tune the fit, adjust tilt, and accommodate a variety of head shapes for a personalized feel.
As part of fizik’s commitment to rider protection, each helmet in the range meets international safety standards. In addition, the Kudo, Kudo Aero and Kassis feature an integrated rear light. Connecting simply and securely with a snap-on design, riders can choose between solid and flashing modes for increased visibility.
Additionally, the Kudo, Kudo Aero and Kassis models utilize the MIPS Air Node System, which helps to dissipate the rotational forces experienced during impact, reducing the likelihood of injury.
Kudo
Designed for road, gravel and XC riders, the ventilated and lightweight helmet is for cyclists tackling long mountain climbs, gravel adventures as well as everyday riding.
Kudo Aero
Engineered for speed, the aero design features strategically placed air inlets to balance ventilation with aerodynamic efficiency. The Kudo Aero is for riders seeking additional watt savings in road races and beyond.
Kunée
Developed through wind tunnel and CFD testing, its teardrop profile, smooth shell, and strategically corrugated side panels minimize drag while optimizing airflow. A honeycomb-grid ventilation system above the visor ensures cooling without compromising aerodynamics, while additional vents and lightweight padding enhance airflow and thermoregulation.
Kassis
Combining ventilation with enhanced protection in the occipital and lateral areas, the lightweight yet durable construction provides extended coverage for off-road conditions.
