QO is a new name in performance cycling from Spain, with a public launch of the accessories brand at the Velofollies show in Belgium on January 17, 2025.
QO’s founders Pablo Carrasco and Ignacio Estelles (formerly of ROTOR) have developed a legacy of innovations over the years. These have supported many years of World and Grand Tour champion titles. Their new brand QO has tied-up with leading in carbon manufacturing YMA to produce its products.
Carrasco and Estelles founded QO with a focus on strength, weight, and durability. QO’s first product line is a series of carbon fibre cranksets.
“We are thrilled to launch QO with this state-of-the-art carbon crank as our debut product, and they are just the beginning,” said Pablo Carrasco, Co-Founder of QO.
Ignacio Estelles added “Our mission is to push the limits of performance, and to give form to ideas we have been wanting to develop for years. The QO brand is focused on delivering real-world benefits to professional riders and passionate cyclists alike.”
QO’s first three crankset models are: ROCKS (MTB), Grava (gravel) and Race (road), with more product launches in the pipeline for 2025. Made of premium carbon fibre materials with in-house lay-up and impregnation, and precision CNC detailing on aluminium components, QO adds that its new products are engineered to provide an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio.
A dimpled surface technology features on the road cranks. Inspired by aerodynamic principles, the dimpled design is crafted to improve airflow around the crankset.
A Kevlar armour layer on the Grava and ROCKS cranks helps to protect the crank’s pedal ends from damaging impacts from trail surface strikes, improving their service life.
QO is launching with a multiple European distributors lined up, and consumer product availability is slated for early March. At the outset, QO products will be available with the following European distributors:
- Velotech Services (UK)
- Alternativsport (France)
- 2Moso (Benelux)
- QO (Spain)
QO is currently setting up an international distributor network and is… ‘open to applications from suppliers of quality cycling products worldwide.’
