The Otway Odyssey and Great Otway Gravel Grind (GOGG) are celebrating their 20th anniversary with a special event weekend on February 28 to March 1, 2026. The event, held in Forrest, Victoria, has grown from its inaugural race in 2006 into a major Australian off-road cycling event.
For the 20th edition, the organising team at Rapid Ascent has unified the mountain bike and gravel events, which were previously separate. As a member of the Gran Fondo World Tour calendar, the Great Otway Gravel Grind will now join the Otway Odyssey to share the spotlight across the entire weekend.
The 2026 event will feature refined races, including a new 100km mountain bike course with more singletrack, a new 106km gravel route, and a redesigned 50km mountain bike course. The event will also introduce special ‘Double Header’ honours for competitors who do a combo of races.
The event, held in the Otway National Park, anticipates a record-breaking turnout of over 2,000 cyclists, building on last year’s 1,800 riders.
