The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) will start to publish individual athlete RaceRanger data after each T100 race, starting with the French Riviera T100 event.
The decision follows a survey of all professionals who have competed on the T100 Triathlon World Tour, in which they all agreed to the public release of the drafting insights data. It follows a similar decision by elite athletes at this year’s Challenge Roth.
The PTO also revealed that since the T100 series was introduced, the average time athletes have spent within the 20m draft zone has shown a significant downward trend.
The men’s high was 4 minutes 52 seconds at the 2024 Singapore T100, which has since fallen to an average of just 39 seconds at last month’s London T100 event. The women’s high was at the 2024 Ibiza T100, with an average of 2 minutes 24 seconds spent in the 20m draft zone, down to a low in London last month of 28 seconds.
The PTO added that it was the first professional race organiser to introduce RaceRanger in 2023 at the PTO European Open in Ibiza and was also one of the first to champion a 20m draft zone.
The PTO Athlete Board said “Using RaceRanger to help enforce the 20m draft zone, which our members passionately wanted, has been key to fairer racing at PTO events over the last 18 months.
“With the data showing a clear downward trend in drafting time, the decision to publish RaceRanger data is the next logical step. The new technology is clearly having a positive impact, which has also helped to create exciting and dynamic racing in PTO organised events.”

The PTO will aim to publish the individual athlete RaceRanger data from its T100 races within a week of them happening. The next stop on the T100 tour is the Spain T100 in Oropesa Del Mar on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
