Indoor cycling platform ROUVY is hosting an interactive group ride with US professional triathlete Sam Long on a virtual IRONMAN World Championship Kona route.
The group ride on ROUVY is set for September 22, 2025. It comes after Sam Long’s recent 14th-placed performance at the IRONMAN World Championship men’s race in Nice, and, will help kick off the countdown to the women’s 2025 IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, Hawaii, on October 11, 2025.
The group ride will cover a 25km virtual section of the Kona course. This includes a 199m virtual elevation gain, featuring the climb from the lava fields to the turnaround point.
The ROUVY group ride will begin at 21:00 EST. Users will be able to connect with Sam Long in real time as he streams the ride on Instagram Live, giving riders a chance to hear his thoughts on the route, training, racing, and his recent performance.
To join the event, users can download the ROUVY app and create or log in to their account. The ride will be available on the ROUVY home page in the app on September 22nd, or via the link below. The event is available to all ROUVY subscribers.
ROUVY aims to offer a realistic and immersive riding experience with thousands of routes on its platform. It helps cyclists to train, explore new locations, and stay motivated all year round, offering a full programme of events such as challenges, group rides, and training plans to suit varying ages and abilities.
