Runna, the running coaching app, has announced that it is now available in seven new languages as part of its international expansion strategy.
According to Runna, the move marks the most significant step in its journey toward international growth. The full app experience, which includes training plans, coaching videos, and partnerships, is now available in:
- French
- German
- Portuguese
- Spanish
- Dutch
- Italian
- Japanese
Runna said that the expansion will enable it to reach new runners with local language support and content across Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
The company has embedded localisation into its product roadmap, which will enable it to roll out new features and additional languages faster in the future. It has also said that it will strengthen community partnerships with companies such as Lululemon and Parkrun to maximise impact in each localised region.
Dom Maskell, Co-founder and CEO of Runna, said “Bringing Runna to seven new languages is a huge moment for us. This means millions more runners worldwide can fully experience what we’ve built. This is about more than translation: it’s about inclusivity, accessibility and international ambition to make running more accessible, effective and enjoyable for everyone.”
The app was acquired by Strava earlier this year, and Maskell said that Strava’s experience with localisation helped bring the update to market ‘at pace and at scale’.
