Nike and Hyperice are claiming to have ‘revolutionised warm-up and recovery’ with the launch of the Hyperboot, a wearable footwear innovation.
The two brands have developed the Hyperboot as a dynamic air-compression and heat therapy tool. The device aims to help athletes address their warm-up and recovery needs without restricting movement.
With a reported retail price of US$900, the Hyperboot by Nike x Hyperice will launch in North America on May 17, 2025, available at nike.com, hyperice.com, and select retail partners. It will expand to global markets later in 2025.
“Athlete insight is at the centre of everything we do, and while we’ve long known that recovery is an important part of any athlete’s journey, we’re hearing from athletes that the concept of ‘pre-covery’ is equally as important,” said Tobie Hatfield, Senior Director of Nike Athlete Innovation.
“The Hyperboot helps get the body ready for activity, whether you’re playing for a title or on your feet all day at work.”
Since an initial release last summer, Nike and Hyperice have gathered feedback from athletes incorporating the Hyperboot into their routines.
“I was fortunate to be one of the first athletes to test the Hyperboot, and I can honestly say that I was immediately impressed,” said Nike and Hyperice athlete Sha’Carri Richardson.
“I felt the difference right away — especially the impact on my training. While wearing the Hyperboot, I’m able to start warming up and recovering while staying mobile. This is huge when traveling and being on the go. As a sprinter, every millisecond matters, so having my feet and ankles activated really helps me prepare to perform at my best.”
The Hyperboot features dual-air bladders… ‘delivering sequential compression and thermally efficient heating elements that evenly distribute heat throughout the shoe.’
The combination of Hyperice’s Normatec and HyperHeat technology drives heat into the foot and ankle muscles, helping to accelerate performance and recovery.
The Hyperboot allows athletes to synchronise the device at the press of a button, with adjustable levels of heat and compression. Athletes can personalise their experience further through the Hyperice mobile app.
“Since the inception of Hyperice, we have taken a lot of inspiration from Nike, from the care and innovation we put into our products to how we connect with the athlete,” said Anthony Katz, Founder and President of Hyperice.
“This collaboration is the culmination of years of work between our two brands to deliver innovative footwear and apparel for athletes, with the goal of enhancing their performance and recovery. And this is just the start.”
