Trail and ultra-running race-strategy platform RacePace has entered into a partnership with smart sports glasses manufacturer Minimis. The new collaboration aims to integrate real-time pacing, nutrition, and hydration guidance directly into a runner’s field of view.
Vienna-based RacePace generates segment-by-segment race strategies based on an athlete’s fitness profile, specific course elevation data, and forecasted environmental conditions. The platform produces targeted guidance covering effort, heart rate, pacing, nutrition, and hydration, rendered on interactive 3D course maps and exportable to GPS devices.
Sydney-based Minimis develops Minimis Flow, a pair of standalone smart sports sunglasses featuring an integrated heads-up display (HUD), wrist-free heart rate monitoring, navigation, and eSIM connectivity.

The partnership will combine RacePace’s algorithmic race planning with Minimis’ heads-up display hardware, allowing athletes to view live pacing targets, upcoming profile changes, and scheduled fuelling reminders without needing to stop or consult a smartphone or wrist-based GPS unit while navigating technical terrain.
Ido Dassa, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder at RacePace, said “A race plan is most useful when you can act on it. During an ultra, fatigue makes even simple decisions harder. Our vision with Minimis is to put the next useful piece of guidance in front of the runner, whether that’s managing the next climb or remembering to fuel. It’s a natural step towards the outdoor co-pilot we’re building.”
Joseph Guo, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder at Minimis, added “We’re making trail running safer and lighter by putting everything trail runners need into sunglasses. RacePace brings a complementary layer: a strategy tailored to the runner and the course. Together, we will move beyond phone and watch based, often retrospective data, towards helping runners understand what’s next while in action.”
