Confirmation of REV3 Triathlon and Quintana Roo partnership

Revolution3 Triathlon, ‘the leader in family-friendly triathlon events’, has confirmed that renowned triathlon specific bike company Quintana Roo has got on board as a series sponsor for the next three years. Quintana Roo becomes the official bike sponsor of the REV3 race series. The REV3 race expos will now carry Quintana Roo bikes, as will the REV3 online store.

“We’re excited to grow a new partnership with the REV3 Triathlon Series,” said Mac McEneaney, Director of Sales for Quintana Roo. “They are committed to making the athlete experience not only more dynamic, but also family-friendly. This series gives us face-to-face interaction with all levels of triathletes, at all of the different distances in a festival-like atmosphere.”

REV3 Tri produces an ever-growing number of races in the United States and Costa Rica. Ranging from Olympic to full distance triathlons, REV3 now has more than ten events that cater to athletes and their families. REV3’s goal is to provide a memorable and special race experience for athletes, and schedules a wide variety of activities for spouses, kids and support crew. Race weekends feature a host of events, ranging from family scavenger hunts to kid’s races or family movie nights.

“Rev 3 continues to grow because we evolve and learn from every race, and constantly incorporate that experience in each subsequent race,” said Charlie Patten, President of REV3 Tri. “[We’re] partnering with a company like Quintana Roo who understands that devotion to innovation is a great fit for us. We’re so excited to have them as part of the REV3 Tri race experience and I think both of our missions align very closely.”

Revolution 3 Triathlon produces races for Olympic, 70.3 and 140.6 triathlon distances, plus adventure and kids races, and has grown to include events on an international scale. Recently, REV3 has also dedicated itself to raising money for the Ulman Cancer Fund.

As a release from the two companies points out, ‘Quintana Roo invented the triathlon-specific bicycle.’ The same creative juices that created the innovative fit and features that first made triathletes go faster continue to flow. In 2009, the goal for Quintana Roo changed to completely reinvent the way triathletes can use their bike to gain an advantage. The result was one of the most talked about bikes in the triathlon community – the CD0.1. Named after its low coefficient of drag, this bike was developed within a wind tunnel, with drag reduction a main point of difference.
