Aqua Sphere UK turnover up again in 2010

Aqua Sphere has announced significant year on year sales growth for the fifth year running. Exceeding its forecast for 2010, the brand reports that it has seen UK turnover increase by an impressive 20%, ‘securing a strong long term position within the swimming and triathlon markets.’

Despite the current economic downturn, Aqua Sphere is forecasting similar growth for 2011 across its swimming, triathlon and newly acquired Aqua Lung snorkelling portfolio.

The company has positioned itself to offer ‘a goggle for every swimmer’, whatever their swimming capability or goals. Aqua Sphere’s distinctive eyewear range, seen on reality TV (I’m a Celebrity…) and therefore watched by millions, is complemented at retail with swimwear, bags, caps, towels and accessories.

With its retail partners, Aqua Sphere is ‘building comprehensive quality displays to meet every swimmer’s need.’

Triathlon wetsuits created in partnership with Ironman complete the product portfolio and retailers who have dipped into wetsuits for the first time are reportedly seeing enhanced margins as a result of the rising popularity of triathlons and open water swimming events in the UK.

These activities continue to attract participation every year, ensuring that even the smallest swim display can boost sales margins.

Appreciating the constraints placed on retail space, Aqua Sphere has created merchandising packages to suit all areas, from compact counter displays to comprehensive Swim Zone concepts.

According to the company, through its delivery of the ‘key values of performance and long lasting comfort, Aqua Sphere is now a goggle of choice for a large number of retailers and its continual innovation across eyewear, swimwear, accessories and triathlon wetsuits is assuring the brand’s healthy upward momentum.’
