The hottest duathlon race in Asia in the last 10 years has been upgraded from Powerman Malaysia to the Malakoff Powerman Asian Duathlon Championships in 2012. Top international and Asian duathletes will vie for the PowerMan and PowerWoman titles in hot and humid Putrajaya, Malaysia, this weekend, on Sunday 4 November.
Participants can look forward to a mostly flat run around the neighbourhood in Putrajaya. The bike course takes competitors through some of the most scenic, beautiful and picturesque views of Putrajaya including several challenging climbs.
The Malakoff Powerman Asian Duathlon Championships is the largest duathlon race in South East Asia, with almost 2000 competitors from 30 countries taking part. The athletes are all vying to win some of the RM100,000 (US$33,000) prize purse.
