2013 TrainingPeaks Ambassador Team

Building on the success of its inaugural 2012 Ambassador Team, where 16 athletes were selected to represent the online coaching specialist, the 2013 TrainingPeaks Ambassador Program received more than 600 applicants from all around the world.

TrainingPeaks noted that ‘the quality of the applicant pool blew us away – we’re honoured that so many amazing individuals want to represent TrainingPeaks.’

The original plan was to select 20 athletes for the 2013 TrainingPeaks Ambassador Team, but with so many applicants, this was not so easy. After hours of sifting through hundreds of impressive applications, TrainingPeaks narrowed its selection…

The Times They Are A-Changin’ in 2013
Given that it was so difficult to select only 20 ambassadors, TrainingPeaks made two changes to the program in 2013:
1) It expanded the Ambassador team from 20 to 40 exceptional athletes
2) TrainingPeaks decided to come up with a ‘thank you’ offer for all of the applicants

As the company noted, ‘We made these changes to reflect the fact that there were a lot more than 20 athletes who were passionate about TrainingPeaks products, and who we’d like to grow an on-going relationship with.’

TrainingPeaks continued, ‘In other words, even if you didn’t make the Ambassador Team we still have something for you. We couldn’t ignore a single individual that offered to represent TrainingPeaks. If you applied to be an ambassador, you’ll be receiving an e-mail from us containing details on how we’d like to work with you and help you achieve your goals in 2013 and beyond.’

2013 TrainingPeaks Ambassadors
The 2013 TrainingPeaks Ambassadors will represent the company by wearing the TrainingPeaks kit and promoting the brand within their communities. These ambassadors will also receive a free year of the Premium Athlete Edition software and will test beta features on TrainingPeaks.com in order to help improve the product and provide the best user experience.

The athlete ambassadors will be a valuable source of feedback, helping the coaching company to better understand how it can improve its tools and services for all customers.
