Specialized Bicycle Components has continued its partnership with US professional triathletes Ben Hoffman and Jesse Thomas throughout the 2013-2014 seasons.
Over the past few years, Hoffman has proven to be a versatile and consistent long-course triathlete in the US by racking-up almost a dozen podiums at both Ironman and Ironman 70.3 events, including six wins. Notable among his 2012 performances were his wins at Ironman Wisconsin and the last-ever Ironman St George.
Relatively unknown in the sport until his first professional win, Jesse Thomas’ triathlon career is off to a fast start with nine podiums since getting his professional license in 2011. Thomas quickly legitimized himself as a contender at all distances, racking up wins at Rev3 Maine and Rev3 Florida, Ironman 70.3 Poconos, and at the historic Wildflower Long Course all within the last year.
“I am delighted to announce my continued partnership with Specialized Bicycle Company for the 2013 and 2014 seasons,” said Hoffman.

Commenting on the renewed sponsorship deal, Jesse Thomas said “I’m honoured to extend my commitment to the Specialized Team for two more years! They’ve played a huge role in my improvement on the bike over the last year, both by providing a super-fast bike, and also by honing in my fit and providing a ton of support.”

Thomas continued, noting that Specialized has a “commitment to developing the best triathlon specific products. I’ve had an awesome time working with their entire team and am psyched to continue the relationship! Plus, this means that every once in a while I get to hang out with Ben Hoffman!”
Hoffman is supported by Specialized with all of his riding equipment from his S-Works Trivent Triathlon Shoes to his TT2 aero helmet. He rides a Specialized S-Works Shiv triathlon bike in Ironman and Ironman 70.3 races and the S-Works Epic 29er for XTERRA events.
Thomas will continue racing on the Specialized S-Works Shiv triathlon bike, keeping up his training on his S-Works Tarmac SL4 road bike and throwing in some winter training rides aboard his Crux Expert. He also wears the aerodynamic Specialized TT2 Helmet and S-Works Prevail Road Helmet.
