Ironman brand owner World Triathlon Corp (WTC) and Subaru Canada Inc have confirmed Subaru as the title sponsor of all 2013 Ironman events in Canada, including the North American Championship – Subaru Ironman Mont-Tremblant on 18 August; Subaru Ironman Canada on 25 August in Whistler, BC; Subaru Ironman 70.3 Mont-Tremblant on 23 June; and Subaru Ironman 70.3 Muskoka on 8 September.
Subaru’s involvement with triathlon in Canada dates back to the mid-1990s with Subaru IM Canada. This involvement grew to include the Subaru Triathlon Series and eventually races from east to west with the Subaru East Coast Triathlon Series, Subaru Western Triathlon Series, the Subaru of Hamilton Running Series and the Subaru IM 70.3 Muskoka.
Subaru’s title sponsorships in Canada now include prestigious IM and IM 70.3 events in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec. This broadening of Subaru’s title sponsorships in Canada ‘reaffirms Subaru’s dedication to promoting healthy lifestyles to Canadians in a family-friendly way.’
