Airing on Monday 7 October at 20:00 ET, sports fans and multisport enthusiasts nationwide across the US can watch television broadcasts of the two remaining USA Triathlon Super Sprint Series events on Universal Sports Network and UniversalSports.com.
Also designated as the USA Triathlon Elite Sprint National Championships, the September race in Las Vegas is also known as the Super Sprint Triathlon Grand Prix. Held under the lights outside the Las Vegas Convention Center it features an Olympic-sized portable pool.
Steve Schlanger and 2008 Olympic triathlete Julie Ertel, who formed NBC’s triathlon broadcast team during the 2012 Olympic Games in London, will call the action. Universal Sports Network will also broadcast the final event of the USA Triathlon Super Sprint Series – scheduled to be held on 26 October in San Diego – on Monday 11 November at 20:00 ET.
Universal Sports Network is now available on Time Warner Cable, Cox, satellite providers DIRECTV and DISH and numerous regional cable and IPTV operators in markets across the US.
The Super Sprint Series is a ground-breaking new format that features some of the world’s best elite triathletes in a spectator-friendly environment. The venues put fans in the centre of the action, with athletes completing two continuous, non-stop circuits of the same course.
The USA Triathlon Super Sprint Series opener was also held in San Diego on 24 April, following the 2013 Omegawave World Triathlon San Diego.
