VOS Media, a subsidiary of Telegraph Media Group (TMG), has confirmed that SEAT is the headline sponsor of The Telegraph Outdoor Adventure & Travel Show, The London Bike Show and the Triathlon Plus Show, taking place from 13–16 February 2014 at ExCeL, London.
SEAT, the award-winning Spanish automobile manufacturer, has invested in this sponsorship to use it as a platform for the UK launch of its new estate car, the SEAT Leon ST. The company has chosen to support all three outdoor-themed shows shows at ExCeL to enhance its wider investment with TMG and highlight the Leon ST’s versatility.
The Triathlon Plus Show brings together the worlds of swimming, cycling and running to help prepare visitors for their next triathlon. The new show next February is being run in partnership with Future – the publisher of Triathlon Plus magazine and TriRadar.com.
In addition to targeting experienced triathletes, the show will also ‘provide informative and inspiring information for individuals looking to undertake their first triathlon.’
Running in tandem with the Triathlon Plus Show, the Telegraph Outdoor Adventure & Travel Show is the UK’s largest exhibition for adventurous people. The show provides visitors of all ages with a range of activities, the chance to buy top quality products, information on travel and adventure opportunities both in Britain and around the globe.
The London Bike Show is billed as the UK’s largest cycling exhibition and promises to be a great day out for all cycling enthusiasts. As well as being able to see the latest bikes, clothing, components and accessories, visitors can take part in one-to-one performance assessments, ride bikes on the 500m test track, as well as watch displays or races.
Headline sponsor SEAT will showcase the new Leon ST at the event, and offer test drives at all three February shows. Prior to that, the ST will be really put through its paces in a compelling Adventure Challenge starring a high-profile British adventurer. The challenge will see the spacious and stylish Leon ST demonstrate its versatility, making it perfect for impromptu weekends away and epic road trips. The as yet unnamed celebrity adventurer will make personal appearances at each of the shows, bringing the actual ST used with him.
In the run-up to and following the shows, TMG will run a multi-platform media campaign incorporating the celebrity adventurer, including paper features, short films, online activity and social media content.
Chris Stevens, Head of Marketing at SEAT, said “These three shows are the perfect platforms for us to show off what a great car the Leon ST is – full of the sort of people we think the car is a perfect fit for. Built for those with an active lifestyle, the Leon ST brings together quality, technology and versatility in a stunning package that’s extremely attractively priced.”
Geraldine Reeve, Group Show Director at VOS Media, said “We are delighted to be working with SEAT as the headline sponsor across the three shows. The shows are the perfect base for SEAT to launch its new vehicle in the UK, especially to an active family audience. We’re particularly pleased to be working with SEAT to roll out a much wider campaign across all of TMG’s products.”
Simon Hosannah, Motoring Specialist at TMG, added “This sponsorship highlights the huge benefits to clients that the addition of VOS Media to The Telegraph portfolio brings. The multi-media campaign complements SEAT’s activity at the shows and gives it longevity, additional exposure and increased audience interaction.”
The three VOS Media shows are set to attract in excess of 50,000 visitors over four days in February, and have already secured support from the outdoor, cycling and triathlon industries. With almost three months until the doors open, there are already over 200 exhibitors signed up to attend, including major brands such as Blacks, BMC, Cannondale, Scott, HOY Bikes and Aqua Sphere.
A subsidiary of TMG, VOS Media is one of the largest consumer events companies in the UK, producing events such as the Ski and Snowboard Show London, Ski and Snowboard Show North, The London Cruise Show, The Telegraph Outdoor Adventure & Travel Show, The London Bike Show, the London Triathlon Plus Show and Be:Fit.
