The organising team at Challenge Gold Coast in Australia has confirmed Endura Sports Nutrition as the hydration sponsor for the event, which takes place on Sunday 24 August 2014.
The South Eastern Gold Coast event will encompass a 1.9K pristine swim in Currumbin Creek, a 90K undulating ride through the Currumbin and Tallebudgera Valleys and then a 21.1K run with stunning views along Currumbin Creek, Currumbin Beach and Tugun Beach.
Endura Rehydration Formula Lemon/Lime will be supplied on-course to the 1,500 participants at Challenge Gold Coast. Endura Rehydration’s patented magnesium formula (Meta Mag) claims to help relieve muscular aches and pains and prevent muscle cramping and spasms. Endura Sports Energy Gels will also be available on the course. Each gel contains 26g of immediate impact and slow release carbohydrates to deliver an energy boost when needed, particularly in the latter stages of the race.

In 2014, Challenge Gold Coast becomes the first long distance triathlon to be held on the Gold Coast for a number of years and forms part of Challenge Family’s series of international events. Challenge Family, is partnering with Gold Coast event management company, The Event Crew, to deliver the event.
The Event Crew’s Director, Brendon Downey, applauded Endura’s involvement with the event. “It is exciting to partner with Endura for our inaugural event. Any local rider knows this is a challenging ride, so having Endura products on course is really going to help fuel the athletes throughout the day. Endura are a perfect fit for the event.”

The inclusion of the the Challenge Gold Coast middle distance race takes the Challenge Australia calendar to four races, adding to Challenge Melbourne, Challenge Forster and Challenge Batemans Bay. The Challenge Family series currently features 24 events around the world including ‘the world’s largest long distance triathlon’, Challenge Roth in Germany. Other Challenge Family races take place in Germany, Austria, Canada, UK, France, Spain, Holland, Italy, New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, Taiwan and USA.
