Pro triathlete Josh Amberger signs sponsor deal with Instinct Sports Nutrition

BPM Athlete Management (BAM) has announced the signing of a new sponsorship agreement with Instinct Sports Nutrition for professional triathlete Josh Amberger. The multiyear deal has been signed following a number of strong international seasons for Amberger that include numerous wins and podium finishes in Ironman 70.3 and 5150 events globally.

Josh will be using Instinct’s small but focussed product line for training, racing and recovery. The line consists of energy gels, a hydration formula and brown rice protein supplement.

Josh reportedly warmed to the products very quickly. “I take nutrition very seriously”, he said. “I was happy with the product I was previously using and thought of it as a benchmark as such. I was reluctant to try Instinct at first, but I’ve had my expectations readjusted after switching over.”

Josh believes that the nutrition component of training and racing is just as crucial as the training itself. “After feeling the superiority of these new products I feel it’s easy to put my whole weight of trust behind them.”

He added that Instinct is a new company, but feels that this gives them an advantage. “Sports nutrition has been slowly evolving from a dependency on sugary products to something that is formulated to avoid sugar and embrace natural ingredients and efficient carbohydrate sources,” said Amberger. “This is where Instinct comes in, and their products excels.”

Instinct’s Andrew Malcolm-Smith added that the Aussie sports nutrition brand is thrilled to welcome Josh to Instinct. “Josh is a meticulous athlete and a consummate professional who is constantly looking for ways to improve. No one can doubt Josh’s talent, but what’s impressed us most is his dedication to the process of improvement in every facet.”

Andrew feels that Josh’s approach resonates strongly with the Instinct team and inspires the brand’s on-going innovation. “He’s dedicated every minute of his life to becoming the best athlete and person that he can be; there couldn’t be a better fit. We look forward to working with Josh in the years to come.”
