K2 Sports – the owner of triathlon wetsuit and apparel brand Zoot Sports, a leading global provider of high performance outdoor equipment and apparel, and a subsidiary of Jarden Corporation, has entered into an agreement to acquire the Squadra brand and business.
A release from K2 notes that the acquisition of Squadra, a leading designer and manufacturer of a full line of custom cycling and triathlon apparel, ‘complements K2 Sports’ growing portfolio of leading endurance sports brands.’
“Squadra’s strong design capabilities and efficient manufacturing operations, paired with K2 Sports’ expanded global distribution network, will create significant opportunities,” said Tim Petrick, President and CEO at K2 Sports. “We are delighted to welcome Dan Weatherford and the Squadra team to the family.”

Squadra is a leading provider of custom cycling and triathlon apparel and accessories. The company was founded in 1996 by Dan Weatherford, initially as the licensor of the Italian Castelli brand.
