This enables H2Open to attract a wide range of commercial partners including swim holiday companies, wetsuit brands, swim retail outlets, venues and coaching services. As well as the print magazine and website, the team produce a regular email newsletter, supplements and The Open Water Swimming Show.
H2Open is now looking for a Commercial Sales Manager to drive revenues across all platforms, build the portfolio and its team. This is seen as ‘a fantastic opportunity for either a senior sales professional looking for their next step up or a sales manager who is looking to work for a fantastic company.’
The key tasks of the Sales Manager include:
- Portfolio selling across associated products including magazine, directory, website, newsletters and events
- To develop and build upon strong client relationships within the industry to ensure that clients’ objectives are met and revenue targets are exceeded
- To develop new sales leads and to maintain a database of possible advertisers and to monitor competitive magazines
The key attributes of the Sales Manager include:
- 2 to 4 years sales experience within a publishing environment
- Have a proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets
- Experience of creative portfolio selling at all levels coupled with excellent presentation skills
- A great understanding of publishing products and the ability to match them to client’s objectives
The role will involve all aspects of team management as well including budgeting, forecasting, recruitment, motivating the team and sales planning.
