Coverage from the Challenge Atlantic City triathlon will be broadcast to a prime-time TV audience across the US tonight at 19:00 ET and 22:00 ET on Universal Sports Network. This continues Universal Sports’ role as a key broadcaster of endurance sport content in the United States.
Universal Sports will replay the Challenge Atlantic City broadcast on Saturday 16 August at 14:00; and NBC Sports Network will run the show on 6 September at 17:30.
One of a number of events rolling into the US from long distance triathlon specialist Challenge Family, Challenge Atlantic City took place on Sunday 29 June.
The arrival of the Challenge brand of long distance event on the East Coast of the US was heralded by ‘a field of world champions and age group athletes from around the globe.’
The 42.4K flat run course featured many Atlantic City highlights finishing on the world famous Boardwalk in front of historic Boardwalk Hall.
Over 6,000 triathletes are expected to toe the line at Challenge Family triathlon events across North America this year. Following a landing in North America with Challenge Penticton in Canada in August 2013, in the US, in addition to Challenge Atlantic City, Challenge Family has also added events such as Challenge St Andrews and Challenge Rancho Cordova.
