Interbike, the largest bicycle industry trade show in North America, has announced that ‘Last Comic Standing’ (TV show season 3 winner) Alonzo Bodden will host the 2014 Interbike Awards.
Bodden is an accomplished comic who has appeared on numerous television shows including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Conan O’Brian Show, The Keenan Ivory Wayans Show and many more.
“We’re confident that Alonzo will not only keep the night moving along, he’ll keep the audience laughing along the way as well,” said Pat Hus, Vice President of Interbike. “He’s familiar with our industry, and we’re proud to have such an amazing talent host this very special event.”
Several presenters have also been secured to help distribute the awards, including Greg LeMond, Rebecca Rusch, Travis Brown, Bob Haro, Ruthie Mathes and more.
The IB Award itself was designed by Matt Inconiglios of fusionTHINK, and will be manufactured by Ashworth Awards. The IB Award features a cast/machined aluminium top with a custom Lucite base. Ashworth Awards has created awards for some of the most recognized endurance events, including The Boston Marathon, Ironman World Championships, USA Triathlon, United States Figure Skating and more.
Set to take place on Thursday 11 September 2014, from 18:30-21:00 local time at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, in Las Vegas, Nevada, the Interbike Awards will honour achievements from the 2014 product year as well as the 2013 and 2014 race season.
Tickets for the IB Awards can be purchased during the Interbike registration process. Special advanced ticket pricing for the event is US$75 per person, and includes drinks, awards show entertainment and a sit-down dinner.
Advanced ticket pricing will end on 6 September, and prices will thereafter increase to US$100. Interbike returns to the Mandalay Bay Convention Center beginning with OutDoor Demo in Boulder City, Nevada, on 8-9 September 2014, followed by the Interbike Expo on 10-12 September 2014.
